Introductions!

Hello hello!

And welcome to the fellowship!

As you should know by now, this is a place for girls 15- 30 (mainly. ;D ) To come together, fellowship in Christ, and share tips and encouragement as we grow and learn to be helpmeets and mothers.

But like I've said elsewhere, if you are out of that age range, already married, but have been at one point a stay at home daughter, we'd love to hear from you!

Now secondly, this post is for you to introduce yourself! As a contributer I would love to know who you are, where you're from, how old you are, and what you would like to see this blog become!

So please leave a comment below and tell me all about yourself!

Me, I'm Meggie!

My Blog is Dreaming of Avonlea,

and I'm from east Tennessee.

I'm 19 years old, a particularly diffuclt age to tell people you don't want to go to colledge because you want to be a mom. (especially if you don't even have a boyfriend... :/ ) So I created this blog to get advise and tips from other Stay at home daughters. And I can't wait to hear from you!

So far its just an idea. LOL! I'm hoping to have a lot of fellowship and support. Basically a place we can come where there are dozens of girls aspiring to the same type goals. Everything from modest fashion to homemaking tips will be included. Maybe some excanges around holidays (by that I mean all holidays not just Christmas. ;) But anyways Im going to the Library wednesday and I'll try to have a post together on ALL my ambitions. But as for helping if, every once in a while, you wanted to put a post together on modest fashion, or anything you wanted to write about, you could just email it to me and I'd post it. And this is all just a start! LOL!

Hello. I'm Kristen. I grew up in church, but it wasn't until the last year that I became convicted of more modest dress, and also the desire to stay home, support my family and raise my children. I'm not married, but in God's timing it will happen, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for me. I'm looking forward to fellowshiping with other like minded women, and also learning new things from others like us.

Hello, hello! :)
I'm Erika. I'm 21 years old and I live in Arizona. I was raised home-schooled. I've been doing the college thing for several years now and have an associates degree; however, my heart has been greatly changed toward the cultivation of home-life over these years. Although I'm still attending college, I'm directing my area of study towards sewing. :) On top of that, I adore baking and learning about herbs and nutrition. I'm a big natural-path when it comes to health and cooking! I would love to learn gardening and embroidery some day. Also, I'm a musician at heart. I play the guitar, sing, and write music. Most of all, I love more Lord Jesus Christ! :) He's the One who softened my independent, rebellious heart and turned me towards family and home.
I'm very excited to meet sisters in the Lord on here! What a grand blog idea!
In His grace,
Erika

Hello! What a wonderful idea for a blog!
I'm Sapphira and it looks like I'm the only Canadian here so far :) I'm 18 and I live at home with my parents and three siblings. I'm going to university to become a library technician, but that's really just a back-up plan. My real dream for my life is to get married, have children and write books.
I love reading, playing the piano, watching period dramas :) sewing, knitting, cross-stitching...you name it. Although I still haven't learnt to crochet. It's on my list.
If you made me name a favourite author, I'd probably say L. M. Montgomery. But I love C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien and many others. So glad to be able to be a part of this community of stay at home daughters!
In Christ,
Sapphira

Hello, I'm Jamie. I'm sixteen years old and live in south western US. A little about me: I'm the oldest of three, with a younger sister on 14, and a little brother of 3 (almost 4). I play piano, help prepare communion at church (we're Reformed Baptists), write books days in and days out and I am a LOVER of God! My greatest prayer is that I will be a true follower of Him and that He will bring me a beautiful family to be my own someday. I'm looking forward to marriage, and am, for now, stuck reading such books as 'Budget Weddings for Dummies'......

My name is Rebekah. I am twenty years old and the oldest of five - I have three sisters and one two and a half year old brother. I am a Bible believing follower of the KING, seeking to become more like HIM in my daily life.

I am in training to be a Stay-at-home wife and mother but until that day comes, I am studying music, herbology and writing... while reading lots of history and literature! :)

To the KING be all the glory!

Hi Meggie,
Thanks for doing this blog.
I’m 33, live at home and work with my family in eastern TN. I was born at home, homeschooled and did not go to college.
I have copies “Created to be His helpmeet” that I give to women if I see an opportunity. Most of the time they think I’m crazy and sometimes even I wonder why I am giving married women info on marriage when I am not married.
Photography is my newest interest oh wait, maybe its blogging. Well I’m having fun with all of it.

What a wonderful blog you have here dear Maggie! I would Love to join!

Here is a little bit about me....

First and Foremost, I am also I Loved Daughter of the Most High King! And I strive to live my life so that it may ultimately Glorify Him. I am a stay at home daughter, and polishing my Homemaking skills everyday, hoping that Someday I will have a home of my own. I am set on staying Pure, and am going to wait for my Prince Charming, meanwhile, keeping my most prized possession, my Heart, clean, and untarnished. I have learned that we should not waste away our youth, pining for our Prince, but instead, live out a passionate Romance with Christ! Learning to fall in love with Him is the greatest Love of all, and reading His Love letter to me, the Bible, strengthens me in my daily walk every day!

Some other things I enjoy would be...
...Sewing
...Knitting
...Baking
...Being with my Family
...Talking with God....

Well, I can't wait to read more of your blog dear Maggie! Have a wonderful Day!

Hello! I am so blessed to have found this blog!

I am Lexi, I am 19 and I stay at home, preparring to someday (hopefully) get married and have a family. My two sisters are off at collage, and so my desire to stay-at-home can sometimes be tough since I no loner have my dear sisters to keep me company. In my spare time I usually,

cook dinner,
do laundry/dishes,
write on my novel (I hope to publish someday!),
Read,
Draw
sew,

I am a daughter of the king and live to serve him everyday in everything I do, although I mess-up quite often!

Thank you so much for this site!

Hey!! My name is Ashleigh and i live in Florida. I'm 18. I was home schooled all through school. I just graduated this year. I am not going to college I don't feel like it's my calling.
On that note I LOVE this blog!!! it's very cool and very encouaging!! It's helping me because some of my family think that I should go to college and that I'm not going to get any where in life without a college degree. And yes in some ways that is true...but I think it's not as bad as my family member thinks. So it's really encouraging me to stay with my decision in what I should do and not try to please my family constantly. My parents are behind me in my decision.
I want to be a wife and mother. That's been my dream my whole life. But most of all I want to serve Christ.
Thanks for starting this blog!!!!
~Ashleigh

Hello <3
What a brliiant blog! =)
I am Chloe. I am 18 years old, and I live in England. I've been homeschooled all my life along with my 4 younger siblings. My Dad is a pastor. And I'm so excited to meet so many other young ladies who want to be wives and Mothers too. So many people have been asking why I'm not going to college or university. And I don't like it when they give me funny looks for saying that I want to be a Wife and Mummy when I grow up.

Hi! My name is Moriah Jordan Miller. I am 19 years old, a "graduated" homeschooler, now doing self-studying and working on a correspondence program to become a midwife. I am interested in healthy, self-sufficient living. I am preparing for the future by learning homemaking, making money on the side, and focusing on the Lord and working for Him.

With all that said, I was curious if this blog was still living? ;) I'd love to be a help in any way.

Many Blessings,
Moriah Jordan Miller
